Humanity Has Declined

Humanity Has Declined (Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita litteral: Mankind has (Not) Fallen aka Jintai) is an anime produced by AIC C.A.S.T.A, and directed by Seiji Kishi. The anime is based on Romeo Tanaka's light novel of the same name. The series focuses on an unnamed girl who acts as mediator between humanity, and 'fairies' in a post-apocalyptic world. Humanity Has Declined is a work of absurdist fiction; as in, the characters seem to have no reason for existance, nor purpose in life, yet at the same time continue to press on, as if being nothing is nothing to be concerned about. Despite it's dark tones Humanity Has Declined promisises to be an amusing satire. Humanity Has Declined originally aired 12 episodes on Tokyo MX from July 2, 2012 to September 17 of the same year.

Plot[]

Humanity Has Declined takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where human civilization has continued to regresse technologically, and decrease in numbers. The unnamed 'heroine' acts as medator between her village, and the tiny elf like creatures that now inhabit most of the world. They are attracted to sweet, and happy things, but tend to cause her trouble in the pursuit of amussement. [?]
