Tarzan is a 1999 musical adventure based on Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzan of the Apes that was produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation, and distributed by Walt Disney Pictures. It is currently the only major animated feature version of the story. The film has a run time of 88 minutes.
Plot[]
An English family consisting of a mother father and their baby boy survive a burning ship and make their way to Africa's shores. The parents meet a horrid fate leaving the boy orphaned. He is taken in by a gorilla and raised in their community. Years pass when a British expedition enters the jungle, Tarzan encounters the beautiful Jane and recognizes that, like her, he's human. Falling in love with Jane, Tarzan is torn between embracing civilization and staying with his gorilla family, which becomes threatened by the ruthless hunter Clayton.
