The Revolution of Juan Escopeta (Spanish: La Revolución de Juan Escopeta) is a 2011 animated drama-historical-action-adventure mexican movie set during the Mexican Revolution with a running of 92 minutes, the movie was directed by Jorge A. Estrada.

It was Animex last traditional animated movie before his change to the CGI animated works, besides his positive reviews the movie was a box-office bomb losing against Ánima productions Top Cat: The Movie and The Legend of the Crying Woman.

Plot[]

The story focus on Gapo a boy who after losing his mother decides to go in search of his brother "El Damián" a hero of the war, but he will be accompanied by a mysterious gunman named Juan Escopeta while traversing the north of the country during certain important events during the war.
